This yarn wins the trophy for "softest yarn ever"!  The chunky blend is 30% alpaca and 70% acrylic, and the yarn has a beautiful sheen from the added acrylic, but the most notable quality is the softness of the alpaca. By adding the acrylic to the alpaca, the yarn becomes more affordable for most crafters and is machine washable. It was made in Peru and comes in skeins of 3.25 oz (100 g), 120 yds (110 m).

The suggested knitting gauge is 12-15 stitches over four inches using 9-11 needles. 

The suggested crochet gauge is 8-11 stitches with US K 10.5 to M 13.
